Hi! I'm Wynnie!
With an MS in Applied Psychology focused on consumer psychology and market research, and nearly two years as a Senior Research Associate on the agency side working with tech clients, I am driven by a passion for uncovering consumer insights that shape intuitive, user-centered experiences. My background equips me with a unique blend of psychological principles and practical research skills to understand user behavior, motivations, and needs. As I grow as a young professional in market research and UX research, I look forward to new opportunities to make a meaningful impact in the field.
A LITTLE ABOUT ME
My academic journey began at UC San Diego, where I earned a B.S. in Business Psychology. Courses in Business Analytics, Product Marketing, and Social Psychology sparked my interest in Consumer Psychology and Market Research, inspiring me to pursue an M.S. in Applied Psychology with a concentration in Consumer Psychology and Market Research from the University of Southern California.

During my master’s program, I developed a robust understanding of advanced research methodologies and the psychological principles that drive consumer behavior. This training equipped me with skills in survey design and programming (Qualtrics), conjoint analysis (Sawtooth), data analysis (SPSS and Excel), and qualitative research techniques such as moderating focus groups and conducting in-depth interviews. Additionally, I strengthened my teamwork and communication abilities, essential for effective client engagement.
In my current role, I’ve led two high-impact projects on AI and SME markets, resulting in published findings on the client’s blog and generating $200K in revenue. I support cross-functional teams for a Fortune 10 client, co-leading strategic projects and custom survey research, including a 20+ market brand tracker project with annual revenue generation of over $1.6 million. I conduct data analysis and create detailed, visually engaging reports and presentations to communicate research findings effectively to clients and stakeholders.
As a fluent speaker of Mandarin and Cantonese Chinese, I bring additional value through my cultural and linguistic capabilities, which enhance my effectiveness in a global workplace.
